As other versions of Windows lack such component as Local Group Policy Editor.<\/p>\n<p>  To start the Local Group Policy Editor, type gpedit.msc in the search field and press Enter.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/r\/w780q1\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/e65\/d02\/f83\/e65d02f83dc2a69173c0b5079c83f8f8.jpg\" alt=\"image\" data-src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/e65\/d02\/f83\/e65d02f83dc2a69173c0b5079c83f8f8.jpg\" data-blurred=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>  When in the Editor, go to Computer Configuration \u2013 Administrative Templates \u2013 Windows Components \u2013 Windows Update.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/r\/w780q1\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/7d3\/033\/789\/7d3033789f2db6340f17a6cf605a679c.jpg\" alt=\"image\" data-src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/7d3\/033\/789\/7d3033789f2db6340f17a6cf605a679c.jpg\" data-blurred=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>  Find the policy Configure Automatic Updates, open it and set it to Disabled. Click Apply\/Ok.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/r\/w780q1\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/8b2\/d9f\/5c7\/8b2d9f5c75d0f6f3843eab3ee3df22a0.jpg\" alt=\"image\" data-src=\"https:\/\/habrastorage.org\/getpro\/habr\/post_images\/8b2\/d9f\/5c7\/8b2d9f5c75d0f6f3843eab3ee3df22a0.jpg\" data-blurred=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<h2>Free utilities to disable automatic updates in Windows 10<\/h2>\n<p>  Also, you can use free utilities to prevent Windows 10 from updating automatically.<\/p>\n<p>  As an example, we\u2019ll show you Win Updates Disabler, but there are other tools as well.<\/p>\n<p>  Run the program, jump to the tab Disable to check the box next to Disable Windows Updates.
